Rochdale residents are being invited to share their views on the latest proposals for College Bank and Lower Falinge.
RBH is organising two workshops for the local community, which will be held simultaneously from 10am – 3pm on Saturday 24th June 2017 at the Tenants and Residents Association Base in Town Mill Brow, College Bank and the Lower Falinge Community Base, Newstead, Lower Falinge.
The workshops are the latest in a series of events being held by RBH to enable local people to discuss the long term future options for College Bank and Lower Falinge and investment in these neighbourhoods as a key part of the Town Centre.
Clare Tostevin, director of communities at RBH said: “To date, we’ve held 3 community workshops for both neighbourhoods as well as weekly informal drop-in sessions. These have been instrumental in helping us to evolve our ideas, understand any concerns and find out what people would most like to see to help support thriving town centre living.
“Based on this feedback, we’ve been working with our architects to further develop the proposals, so will be sharing these on the 24th. Residents will also be given a time slot to ensure they can visit in smaller groups, making it easier for them to view details and discuss information with either someone from RBH or the architects.
“We hope that the local community continue to get involved to ensure we can shape a proposal that makes these town centre neighbourhoods great places to live and work for both existing and future residents.”
Further details about the workshops can be found at www.rbh.org.uk , by sending an e-mail to communitypartnership@rbh.org.uk or by calling RBH on 0800 027 7769 (option 6).

RBH is working with Levitt Bernstein Architects to prepare a plan for the future of College Bank and Lower Falinge. We held an initial workshop with those who live and work in these neighbourhoods on 6th February 2017, to discuss early options for improvements and greater investment.
We have developed the options further to show you what your streets, open spaces and new homes could look and feel like. Our next workshops will discuss these ideas and will take place on Thursday 16th March between 2pm and 7pm.
The College Bank workshop will be at the TRA Office, Town Mill Brow; the Lower Falinge workshop will be at Lower Falinge Housing Office, 236 Newstead.
These are still early ideas so we would like your say and input in helping us to develop these further. We look forward to seeing you again and welcome your ideas and additional feedback to help us develop the vision for your neighbourhood.
Following feedback from the last workshop we will be managing discussions in smaller groups. If you cannot come at the time allocated for your home (for example, because you are at work) then please just drop in at another time. But if lots of people do arrive at once you may have a short wait to talk through with the architect team.
